The Stressfullness of School...

It's hard to believe that there are only 2 weeks or so left of school. It seems like we just started yesterday. I guess it's the fencing that makes it go by fast when you have a competition 3 weeks in a row. This next weekend we travel to Notre Dame for the Midwest Championships....I'm getting a little bit nervous, but I think that we will do well.

All I did this past weekend/week was look for a apply for internships for this summer. I have three options as to where I can do my internships...I can either do my internship in pittsburgh, chicago, or columubs. So far I have applied at LimitedBrands, American Eagle, Nordstrom, Old Navy, and Dick's Sporting Goods. I want to apply at Macy's, but they don't have an internship available in the area that I'm looking for which is either product development or merchandising. The only internship that they have open is in managment. Dick's says that they have an internship porgram on the website, but when you click on it, it says that it's not available so I sent a letter to a person in marketing. When I was applying at Nordsrom, it seemed like I was just filling out a regular application and not an application for an internship. No where in the application did it have you attach your resume. So I'm trying to figure out who to send my resume to. I still my apply at Target, David's Bridal, and some other places....I'm still doing my research.

Other than that not much else has been going on. I had a quiz today in my TC 371. I'm kind of worried about the class because I have gotten D's or D+ on the first two quizes and got a D on the midterm. The sad thing is that I HAVE been studying for this class. And it's not just me that is getting D's....So far the two study group sessions that I have been to thoes 4 people are also getting D's, but when we had the 3 pop quizes that are extra credit we get like 3 or 4 points. I mean we also have our 10 point yarn identification and 30 point swatch identification, but I really need to do well on this quiz. I feel like I knew the stuff. There were only 6 questions of 37 that I was "iffy" about. The questions are worth 1.5 points a piece so there are a total of 57 points even though the quiz is only worth 55 points. So lets hope that I did good. I'm doing well in my other textile class and I got a B(88%) on my history midterm which I was quite happy with. I still have two more papers for my history class, one is the Major Problems paper and the other one is the book review which I still need to read the book for. I think I will get the Major Problem's paper done this week and then I will start to read Worriors Don't Cry on the bus trip to Notre Dame. I just know these last two weeks are going to fly by and things are going to start to bite me in the ass because things are going to be due before I know it and I'm not going to have things done.....But I will do my best to get the things done ahead of time.

Well I think that is about it. Not much else is going on. This probably was a very boring blog, but deal with it.....I'll post something for the Midwest Championships....that will give me something to rant about. So until next time...ttyl! :)
