We sucked...

This is going to be very short because the more I think about it, I will start to get upset about it....overall we came in 5th which is not good at all. I only won a total of 6 bouts when I know that I could have won alot more. The guys did ok, but they didn't do as well as they could have. In women the saber girls I think did really good with 15 wins for Eileen and 13 wins for Shiboan, but I'm sure that they think that is not good at all. Julia did good with like 16 or 17 wins...I'm not exactly sure. I know that Shura made 3rd team all american, but I'm not sure how many bouts she won. And then there is me that did the worst out of everyone and that is all I'm going to say because I'm about to cry again. I started to cry when I was talking to Keala....so until next time...ttyl :(

Sitting in the airport...

Not much to say....this past week all I have been doing is fencing, fencing, and did I mention fencing??? I'm excited for tomorrow, but I'm also VERY nervous at the same time. Right now we are in 5th place in the NCAA championship. Mike had 11 bouts, Surgay had 9, Mesha had 6, Pryor had 5, Andraus had 11, and Will had 6. Hopefully that guys do better today. Then our big day starts tomorrow. We have the banquet tonight and I'm actually going to be waring a dress. This is probably the only time that I will be warring a dress. It's raining here so there is not much to do. Micki and I were going to go roller blading yesterday, but it was raining in the morning and then it just kept on raining on and off...plus it's not fun to roller blade on a wet ground. My parents are coming out the NCAA's which is nice. I get to save my predum this weekend. The only time I will have to use it probably is on Monday when we come back....well unless I don't go out to dinner with my parents. Anywho, that is about it...there really isn't all that much going on. I will post tonight after the guys are done to let you all know how we are doing. So until next time....ttyl!

I QUALIFIED FOR NCAA'S!!!!

This is going to be a short post because I'm working at younkin and I'm just taking a quick study break. I just wanted to let everyone know that I qualifed for the NCAA's....I'm soooo excited. I reallly wanted to qualify and I did. Coming in 2nd place is the best I have ever finished in anything such as a national competition or even a college meet. I'm just hoping that how well I fenced at the Midwest Championships and at Regionals will stay with me for the NCAA Championships. I think if I don't think about it and just fence hard and do my best I will do well. That is what I did this weekend. I didn't worry or think about qualifying and just fenced and look how well I did. I think I have come a long way since my freshmen year of fencing. I think that I have finally found my kind of fencing in the past two weeks and I hope I can keep it going. I think I might actually bring my camera to the NCAA's if they let us bring it in so I can capture my first time of being there. Anywho, I should probably get back to studying since I do have my final at 7:30am and I'm working until 7....so until next time....ttyl :):):):):):)

Midwest Championships Part 2

Well the good news is that we basically kicked Notre Dame's ass for 5 years in a row now. We were the Midwest Champions. We won men's and women's over all, women's saber came in 1st while women's foil and epee came in second. The men came in first in all of thier weapons.

I actually fenced really well yesterday even though we lost to Notre Dame in the finals. To get into the finals we had to fence Northwestern which is a really tough school in women's epee. They have both french girls and some other girls that are really good. I don't know how I did it, but I beat both french girls....both of the bouts going into overtime. I did beat one of the french girls at the NYU meet, but I sure can't tell you which one because they both look the same. I mean they are twins after all. We only lost one bout to Northwestern. Elyse lost her one bout to one of the French's. Shura won her two bouts and I won mine, and then Elyse won the 5th bout that allowed us to beat Northwestern. When it came to the finals we knew that we were going to have to either fence Wayne State or Notre Dame. Well, Notre Dame beat Wayne state and so we fence Notre Dame. I was up first....I ened up losing to Kim Montoya, in over time 2-3...which I should have fun, but oh well. And then Elyse was up next, but she lost her bout to Kelly Hurrly. Then Shura beat Amy Orlando so that brought our spirts back up. So then it was my turn to fence Kelly and I don't know how I did it, but I beat her 5-3. Take into count the Kelly Hurrly is like ranked number 1 in the US, so I was quite happy. And then Shura won her next one to Montoya. Then Elyse had to fence Amy Orlando and lost 4-5.....So now it's 3-3 for the overall team score. Then Shura had to fence Kelly Hurrly and almost won, but lost. So then it was my chance...All I had to do was beat Amy Orlando and then we would be tied 4-4 for a team record. Well, I was winning, but I ened up losing 3-5. And then I lost it....I know it's not all my fault, but I blamed myself for not beating Amy which caused us to lose even though I know it's not all my fault....But hey, I'm still happy with beating both French girls and beating Kelly Hurrly.

Other than that not too much else has been going on. It seemed like it took forever to get back. I couldn't get comfey on the bus to sleep even though I was ass tired. I was also freaking out about my textile quiz. So I got up early today to study for it...I mean I did study on the bus, but I needed to do some more studying. So when I get to class a 8:30 this morning I found out that the quiz is actually on wednesday....oh was I pissed....I soooo didn't want to go to class today because I'm sooo tired. But I went because I thought that the quiz was today. Had I known that the quiz was actually on wednesday I probably wouldn't have gone to class because I needed to catch up on my sleep.....oh well. The other thing that sucks is that we have practice today. It's not actual fencing, but we have to go to the arpac to do "rehabilitation" as coach puts it. All I'm going to do is maybe run on a machine for a bit, and then change into my bathing suit, go in the hot tub and then the sauna, an then leave, go home and take a nap. I don't think I will nap too long because I have alot of work to do, so I might just sleep for like an hour or two....well that's about it, so unitl next time....ttyl! :)

Midwest Championship Part 1

Ok, so day was an ok today for me. Today was the individual day. In the pools I went 3-2 and I really should have gone 5-0. My record went like this.....5-0,5-0,5-1,4-5,4-5...my last two bouts I lost because I just did stupid things but I fought pretty good. Had I won one more bout I would have had a bye in the first round. So I won my first DE and then I lost my second one to non other than Amy Orlando. I'm not even going to get into my DE with her because it will just piss me off even more about her. I'll just say I lost. But tomorrow is another day, the more important day and hopefully I will beat her tomorrow when it's really important. Overall I think we did pretty good. When I was done I asked coach if I could leave with my parents and he said yes. I had homework to do so he let me go and then I had dinner with my parents. So tomorrow women's epee doesn't start until after 12 which is a good thing, but also a bad thing. It's good because I actually get to sleep in for once...women's epee always go first early in the morning. The bad thing is that we are not going to get done until like after 5pm or so....I think that the earliest that we are going to be able to leave is like 7pm. So hopefully we don't go that long. Other than that not much else. I'm going to bed soon because I'm really tired and I want to get some sleep tonight. I'm going to get up tomorrow around 8:45 to go and get breakfast and to do some homework. I have alot of homework to do. I have a quiz in my one textile class on monday and I have a paper for my history class that is due on the 8th. I did the reading for the paper, but I have no idea what I am going to write about.
